It’s your first day. New role. New responsibilities. New organization. New people. New culture. Everything is new. Everything.
Or…
It’s your first day. Changed role. Changed responsibilities. Same organization. Same people. Same culture. But everything has changed. Everything.
This is the reality of a new manager. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been with an organization for 20 years or 20 minutes, it’s a whole new ballgame now.
Your role is unlike any other pre-management position you’ve held before. The job description is much broader including verbs like lead, direct, and determine. The responsibilities and stakes are higher with the ability to impact – either positively or negatively – on a greater scope.
The sociological implications are significant. Remember all those conversations you used to have about your manager? They are having those conversations about you. What are they saying? What do you wish your manager would have known or done at the time you reported to them? It’s not enough that you are beginning a challenging new role; you are doing it on a stage.
And it’s no longer about what you can accomplish as an individual contributor, but rather what you can accomplish through others as an individual and team developer.
First impressions are everything. Your people want to know if you are competent, capable, and worthy of their allegiance. And they’ll make that decision within a matter of days. The first conversations, the first meetings, the first initiatives all set precedents that can take months to undo if you start out on the wrong foot.
Start on the right foot. Learn about the 10 mistakes new managers make and how to avoid them. This course is for new managers or any director or human resource professional helping support a new manager.

Good course thank you to Ms Fountain. Cash flow info useful.
More details than I anticipated but nice to learn more about Schedule C updates as I look forward to preparing a few returns for family this year.
Speaker was very knowledgable. Complicated content presented in understandable format.
Helpful overview of the leasing process. Thank you for this course!
Very short course and some of the examples were good this course is not as good as other ethics courses I have taken.
Good refresher course that could benefit all from goal setting to delegation.
Lots of new information on big datas role with fraud detection.
Jeff's technique is very well done and easy to follow. It is a great review and provides good examples that can be used day-to-day. Great Job!

The importance of Ethical behavior of the leadership is explained well.
Great course - would highly recommend for anyone interested in topic.
Good course on general knowledge regarding internal auditing.
Subject matter is very detail oriented. Instructor is reading her script, therefore it lacks engagement.
This class gets into the details of short-term rentals. There was more to it than initially thought.
This course was pretty straightforward and easy to follow. This was the first text-based course Ive done. The test questions corresponded well to the text.
Excellent course! This course provided a solid overview of the appropriate ethical standards of the accounting profession. The lesson demonstrated possible real-life scenarios that today's CPA may encounter and outlined the necessary steps to apply to in such cases to uphold the high ethical standards of the profession.
Good updated information in this course from the previous taxable fringe benefit course.
I've been using pivot tables for years and still picked up a few helpful hints in this lesson. This is a very useful session for any user.
This was an interesting introductory course into powerBI and its uses
This was an excellent course and I felt like it provided a guidebook for necessary courses of action and reminders for those trying to ascend in his/her careers.
I thought the class was informative and very helpful. I will utilize when I learned in this training as I plan for my next presentation.
Good overview of SOX 302, including the history, the requirements, explanations of the key components, and relation to SOX 404.
This is a very technical course and a beginner cannot understand the course. The question paper is very tough and needs a lot of analysis and research before passing the exam.
this could have been good except the very distracting background music at the beginning of the process
Great review of budgeting topics with some new information I hadn't heard of. Will refer to this content again.
Excellent course i learned today about the best Wild, then you.com, and all other claude. I can see is a new world we are in and happy to be part of this transformational Journey. This course opened my eyes
Content was productive; however, the presentation skills was extremely poor - very dull and disengaging tone.
Illumeo deletes reviews that contain negative feedback, so I've learned not to provide real feedback. However, this is necessary to retain access to the course, so all courses will be rated average going forward.
This was a helpful review. Thank you for the informational resources.
I enjoyed this course, similar to all the courses by Lynn Fountain I have taken. She keeps the content engaging and practical. Thank you, Lynn.
very good introduction to power query. have not used this function in excel and found it very interesting
I loved the use of interesting case studies to contrast the traits of ethical & amoral leaders.
this is a basic course but can be a good refresher as well. If you need a refresher, this would be it.
Lovely and energetic delivery. He did a fine job and his experience shows.
Very helpful course as I WAS a former bullet queen.
Helps lay a foundation for a path to executive leadership
Good course. Informative. Well=paced. The instructor kept the course entertaining, while infoI like informative.
This was an excellent overview of the budget process in review. It is not a detailed budget process but it is sufficient to outline the major points.
Important topics that can help managers manage and not get stuck in the weeds.
Ethical issues are sometimes downrated, what is not correct. Great presentation.
I like to read the slide decks in the pdf format. The pdfs for this course were not sufficient to learn the content.
Great course, valuable information and great to stay up to date on things.
This course provided a nice overview of safety and ergonomics in the workplace, including many best practices and tips. Several good takeaways that I can easily implement. Supporting materials were also helpful and aligned with the content presented during the course.
Very interesting topic presented in an easy to understand manner.
It was good overall. Question #2 on the Final Exam has 2 of the same answers as choices.
This was a deep dive and very informative review of Revenue Recognition & Leasing. I went through this process back when it was required and it was a great review of the new requirements.
Very informative class and instructor was very knowledgeable.
I liked how this was laid out. The 10 mistakes were personally relevant in my transition to leadership and I appreciate the thoughts and insight into avoiding and correcting these mistakes.
This is a great course on COSO internal controls and the changes over time. I really enjoyed it.
Good deep dive on a complex topic...................
Helps provide a quick guide to different leadership styles.
Good discussion but I don't think the answer for the first review question is correct.
This was a great short course on 350-40. I would love to course that compared and contrasted the accounting rules for 730-10, 985-20 and 350-40.
The course material is a must read for all CPAs. From all of the ASU with hundreds of pages, it is clear that Mr. Camehl has put considerable efforts to deduce it to easily understandable and practical use. The course material could easily be made into a desk top procedures for practicing CPAs who are engaging in corporate accounting. It is comprehensive and at the same time, to the point and most importantly, practical. Thank you for the course and the material.
I recently attended the 5 Keys to Develop and Lead Highly Productive Teams online course. It was incredibly insightful and well-structured. The course provided practical strategies and tools that I found immediately applicable. I highly recommend it to any manager looking to enhance their leadership skills and boost team productivity.
Rob does an outstanding job of effectively teaching the Key Performance Indicators and KPI Dashboards. The course was well-structured, providing a comprehensive understanding of KPIs and their critical role in measuring and driving business performance. The content was insightful and easy to follow, with a perfect blend of theory and practical examples. The section on creating KPI dashboards was particularly valuable, offering hands-on guidance on designing and implementing effective dashboards that provide real-time insights into business performance. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging, making complex concepts accessible and relevant. The interactive elements and practical exercises helped reinforce the learning and provided me with the confidence to apply these concepts to my own work. Overall, this course is a must for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of KPIs and enhance their ability to track and manage performance effectively. I highly recommend it!
Such a great course, and very useful tools! I would highly recommend it.
Very good overview of the goals and steps and the reasons why.
Informative course to make sure leaders are modeling ethical behavior with their teams.
It is a great course. However, needs to be updated as the statistics in Report to the Nations can vary at times.
This was a great course! The time flew by. The speaker was excellent. I will seek out more courses from Blair Cook.
Well written and presented. Couldn't find the answer key for the mini-quizzes though.
This a very comprehensive training. It would be nice to get a presentation on this training because the reading is just too much. But over all still have a very good examples and important topics are discuss and explained well.
excellent the content was well done. I would fully recommend this for someone that needs to learn more about excel. I feel that I opened a new world of formulas and things I did not know about excel.
Great information about useful tools. Didn't know there were so many plugins available

Pretty interesting course on finding shortcuts for organizing data. Found the Data Table section most useful.
This was so helpful and great to learn! I am so happy that I found these tips. It helps me be a better manager and peer
The objectives of the course were clearly stated and covered.
This course was very interesting. I liked the examples he gave and how he Incorporated his own experiences into the lecture.
very interesting on a broad level. Well explained. Enjoyed the IT aspect of business as I am not typically exposed to that
It's hard to distill the entire history of ethical thought down into a 2 hour business course, but I give credit to the instructor for making the effort.
I did not know how to do sumifs so this was very helpful. I did know Vlookups but it was interesting knowing the difference between them. I would recommend this course to anyone who doesn't know how to do either.
Another great course by Mr. Wasny where examples, templates, and resources are shared and can immediately be taken back to the office for use!
Two great formulas that I use all the time! If an accountant does not know these formulas, this is a great webinar.
I liked the fact that the presenter had a good sense of humor and was able to make the accounting course more interesting and enjoyable to listen than it might otherwise have been.
Great course and presentation! Instructor does an excellent job at explaining ratios and analysis so that it is easily followed.
What a fantastic course! This course was chock full of great tips and general ideas. Definitely a ton of "a ha" kind of moments and very helpful for those of us at the middle management level who would like to try to convince the Executive level that moving even at least to data mining would be helpful. Also, really appreciated the presenter's use of helpful visuals as well.
This course was very easy to understand for someone who doesn't work in accounting. The topics were outlined well.
A great intro course into Excel, I would recommend to others.
Good topic and good real world examples. Applicable to work life.
Virginia ethics course, it's required for CPAs and this format works
I believe that there is some audio repetition about half way through. Great course, might just want to take a look at that.
Very helpful and insightful as a manager in a new organization
A heady topic. Take small bites of this one and revisit. Work with IT for efficient undertaking.
Very informative course. It helps to understand the intricacies of having employees work or travel across multiple states and what to watch out for.
The course is well organized and easy to understand!
Solid regulatory review course. I enjoyed reading about the real world examples
It was a good and informative course and was a nice refresher.
This course provided valuable information and skills necessary to be a CPA.
Very informative course! This was a great refresher on multi-state withholding. Thank you!
Another good course in the series. Interesting topic.
I will comment on one aspect of the course in particular. The presenter recommended criminal background checks as a method to prevent fraud. He fails to address the issue that biases in the criminal justice system against racial minorities result in such checks having a disparate impact on those same minorities. He also does not address the fact that such checks will turn up information that is prejudicial but of questionable relevance for preventing fraud (for example, minor drug convictions or other minor violations of the law), which in turn will make it difficult for people with those convictions to move on from their pasts. Other than that, the course was good.
Excellent class that contained very relevant 'real world' examples.
This class was very informative. I learned new concepts.
very good course, good presentation and pertinent information
Learned new items in excel I didn't know before. At age 66, wish i had known before now.
Helpful tips and ideas to keep 1:1's going and actual benefit both the employee and manager
I really enjoyed this webinar. It gave me a lot to think about with my own management style.
Mr. Ringstrom is an excellent instructor; I like that he goes through the PowerPoint and then shows it live in Excel. I will be back for more courses.
Definitely works your brain and is a great refresher. Course is a great reminder of the tools CFOs have and how to use them.
The example and explanation were relevant to real life.
good thank you so much, it was helpful. really helpful.
Great content & learned a lot of Excel tips. I was familiar with a lot of these functions but didn't know about these additional tricks and uses.
Very thought provoking course with insightful observations
The course author used creative approach to teach the strenghts and weaknesses of the two excel tools.
I always enjoy Neil's classes and how he teaches. His storytelling always makes the class fun and engaging. I love how simple the concepts always seem when he breaks things down. Difficult people are tough to deal with and work with, but, we always have the choice to deal with it and control ourselves, or, we let ourselves get affected by the negative emotion. But, the choice is ours.
Too much broken speaking. Author just changed the couple words to make applicable to 2023 but changes were not smooth.
Much useful information that can be applied professionally
c
This course was presented cleared and concisely. The course materials are helpful to refer back to if needed.
A good overall breakdown of ethical leaders, what distinguishes them, and why they are important for any organization, Felt a bit longer than necessary but overall enjoyed the discussion and exercises.
The exam is very challenging if you don't have a decent understanding of Tax for partnerships....
I learned a lot, but the test questions were out in left field and there are no slides.
Another great course from David Ringstrom. I always learn a lot from his excel courses. I am glad to have learned about the xlookup function. I think it is something I will be using a lot.
A very interesting broad overview of behavioral finance. Made me interested in learning more on the subject.
It was a good course - a good review of the financial close process. The instructor and slides were clear.
Exam was helpful in understanding the importance of a top-down risk assessment. Thank you.
Concise information that's easy to follow and understand.
Very informative course with a lot of information to absorb. Take good notes in addition to the course slides.
Broader than payroll, also includes general accrual accounting steps
Some of this information is out of date, specifically the taxability of relocation expenses.
excellent course with clear instructions on the topic of segregation of duties in key business processes.
A great course on leading a team and getting employees to be all in
I enjoyed the course and plan on implementing several of the concepts
The training was very informative and most of all I enjoyed the jokes.
great excel course, moves a bit quickly at times but the ability to stop and go back allows this to work. Great course.
Litecoin is pronounced as "Lightcoin" for future reference. Agree with others I would have liked to have some accounting information related on treatment of crypto on financial statements.
It had relevant examples, but it was hard to listen to it because some parts felt read off the screen.
Honestly, I got more out of watching Ted Talks and YouTube videos ...
Good advice and steps to consider. The slides were nicely laid out to use as references in the future.
This was a information course but the slides were difficult to process.
This course was a good refresher. This course is ideal for people not as familiar with accounting. Thank you.
This is a helpful primer on artificial intelligence. It really is going to help so many industries.
Nice course. But this course seemed to be more of an advertisement for the instructor's consulting business. Nonetheless, helpful material was shared.
This class provides a general overview of the mechanics, basics, and theory of accounting.
The course covers a significant amount of material that is often uncommon such as disposal of divisions and going concern treatments. It's well done and interesting.
Though I am not directly into cash flow analysis in my work, this lesson was an eye openiner for me.
I especially appreciated the David Foster Wallace commencement speech at the end.
Liked the course. Questions on specific states laws in the quiz were a bit confusing.
This was an awesome course - most interesting CPE course I've taken in while. PDF File is awesome as well, real world practicality here.
Illegible questions and answers. A struggle to get through.
This was a good discussion on the audit process and how it works. Explains the process that goes into the auditing of financial statements.
This is a high-level overview of information that all CPAs already know, but it's a great refresher. Highly recommend
Good material supported by excellent presentation.
On often overlooked topic for those in the non-IT/cybersecurity sector. Great overview on important topics on handling and preventing security threats.
Presenter is easy to listen to but, the course needs real world examples - not just reading tax brackets.
Adding slides to visually show the examples discussed orally would really improve the user's comprehension. Great coverage of the topic.
This course is important for employees on all levels and even in our personal lives. I really like the points made on the importance of Listening well.
What I appreciated: The recap at the end is helpful to reinforce the most important concepts. The quizes are a nice touch because it tests your knowledge while you're watching the course. Areas of improvement: There is a lot of content in this short course, and it would be overwhelming for someone who has no experience in accounting. Additionally, I think it's much more helpful to learners to teach that Assets = Liabilities + Equity rather than Assets - Liabilities = Equity, so it reinforces the idea that Liabilities & Equity should have a credit balances. When going over the example for Lesson 2: Posting Entries (continued), it would be helpful to list the numbers we know before showing the correct entry.
Very helpful insight about ways to make one on one meetings productive
lot of great information but it comes at you very quickly
The Treasury Function Part 1: Cash, Liquidity and Investments The Treasury Function Part 1: Cash, Liquidity and Investments The Treasury Function Part 1: Cash, Liquidity and Investments The Treasury Function Part 1: Cash, Liquidity and Investments The Treasury Function Part 1: Cash, Liquidity and Investments vThe Treasury Function Part 1: Cash, Liquidity and Investments
Excellent course as always from Ms. Lambert! Covers all the main areas of pay deductions and includes helpful calculation examples as well.
This is a very good broad ranged discussion of the accounts payable vendor master processes and what should be considered.
It was a lot of good information that I was unaware of due to overwhelming work schedules these past few years since inception of TIGTA. The review and test were a bit confusing.. especially since some of the answers were not the same as an IRS.GOV site, so where to locate? Either way, the course and information was quite informative.
Terrific insights and very applicable. I pulled out my notebook for this one.
very nice and well structured course. can learn a lot.
Interesting and informative course with relevant information to understand the controllership function. Easy to follow and understand.
Real life examples make learning concepts so I enjoyed this course.
Course Contents: The professional standards and guidelines applicable to an audit The nature and purpose of auditing Audit approach and planning
One of the best course I have recently taken - great job
Excellent course on some basics of Strategic Management. Nice intro for newcomers in the workforce who have not grasped the importance of strategic placement in the market.
Excellent course, very well organized and presented, with practical examples provided.
Efficient and effective course. Covers what is needed.
A very clear explanations, covering all topics. I really love the session. Perhaps can get a more exciting slides or link share for reference. Overall, good. thank you!
Great pointers! This class is definitely beneficial. Would take again.
Good overview of the position for new people. Slides captured the relevant points and the case studies were helpful.
This webinar was very useful for my work and an excellent refresher.
Blair was very engaging. It's a great class for intro to finance.
The course itself was great, but the exam had issues (unclear question wording, duplicate questions, answers considered wrong even though they exactly matched the definition given in the glossary, 79% grade when I got 19 out of 21 correct). The study guide provided was laid out as a syllabus with no helpful content.
A lot of useful information on basics of accounting.
The topics and presentation were very good. The test questions were poorly worded.
The examples scenarios were very helpful. I enjoyed the cadence and how the information was presented and the corresponding pdf file to download for reference.
Seriously - Donald Trump? You can't keep opinion and woke politics out of even CPE? This is absolutely unacceptable.
Very lovely class. I can use this and also apply the principles to helping my kids write.
The course provides a great overview of fraud, impacts to the Company, and ways to mitigate that risk and how Internal audit can aid and assist in this process.
Well explained and detailed content! I would recommend the course.
Really great class for beginners and advanced users. Really enjoy David's excel classes. They are easy to follow and love the examples he uses throughout the course.
good class with lots of good information and good help. I enjoyed it.
This course provides some great information. The topics covered are very helpful as well.
This was a good course on financial statement basics... if you don't know the answers to the questions, go back and refresh
Well structured overview of the course by instructor
Good course. Supporting materials were relevant and the course met the intended learning objectives.
PDF materials didn't match too much to the test. Please consider this before taking the class.

Excellent course for anyway that want to improve or develop a leadership role.
I enjoyed reviewing all of the ethical dilemmas. The course was great and well-written.
its a great course with full of information! i find it useful for me to detect a fraud next time

Thank you for providing an informative opportunity to complete my ethics cpe requirement.
Great introduction and clearly defines the various non profits and purposes.
Good discussion of potential pitfalls to watch out for when working with NFP
Course is both entertaining and informative. Sanders' example organization for his sample 990 is humorous and enjoyable.
Through was a good class to review in wage and law

Great exposure to Fraud Risk Management Strategy. Fraud Risk Monitoring is crucial in today's business environment. Professionals from business and accounting background could make use of the information for professional certification studies and on-job applications. I would definitely keep the notes for future reference.
This training was well done. However, the topic was a bit over my head. I am glad I took this course so I can become better versed in this topic.
Valuable information that was presented well. Thank you!

This was a great class that gave me some important tips that I hadnt previously considered. Very useful!
Course provided good real life examples of transactions that impact the statement of cash flows. The illustrative examples were helpful in understanding the topics.
The program is well presented. I would prefer a video format to aid my learning style.
Heavy but very useful class thanks, however practical example would have been useful
This was a great course. Would definitely recommend it.
Super good course about ethics, morals, and business. Remember to be ethical because ethics are the best!
Lenny Wu's material and practice data is a step above most online courses
So extremely helpful, and interesting. One of my favorite courses yet.
This course was a great review of Ethics CPAs Business.
Might be nice if there were more theory vs straight up calculations.
A lot to remember when trying to answer final exam questions, but excellent tips if practiced each day.
ExcelLent :) Well-structured and easy to study Text Based Course. Very useful supporting materials. Interesting info.
i would say this is quite boring and not interactive..
Always looking for shortcuts in Excel and these are great!
David's courses are always great. Learned a great trick for getting the month number.
This webinar is helpful in understanding the annual audit that we go through in our company. Thanks.
The information provided in this course was presented well and provided a good overall understanding of the planning process of an audit. However, the exam itself needs to be proofread as there were several questions that were written so poorly as to make no sense of the question being asked.
This is an area of the tax law that is very complicated. This course provided a good general overview of the rules in an organized fashion.
Overview of state regulatory policies for method of payment and timing on payment to terminated EEs is very nice. I found the refresher very useful.
Learned several new excel features and plan to learn more about the power query in the separate course. Thank you.
This course is a good overview of professional ethics for MD CPAs
This was an eye opening experience. I think everyone thinks planning and goal setting is a waste of time. And now I've learned that those people, myself included, have been living in the present by focusing on just getting going on something, with no real clear goal, in mind. I need to set aside some time no matter what and really plan out any goal I set out to accomplish. It's easy to think you will be able to come up with a plan on the way, but that was my naive thinking.
Insightful course. I was just recently promoted and now manage a team of 10 employees. I have been looking for advice and tips to make my 1:1s more impactful and this course delivered! While I have set the expectation with each employee to come prepared with 1:1 agendas, I have fallen short on not asking my employees to recap our discussions. Rather, I take care of that which takes additional time and strain on me and limits the development of my team members and holding them and myself accountable.
Allotted time is not sufficient or fair. It should be twice or three times. thx
This was a great course that helped me to review non-profit entities and compliance with rules and regulations.
Good overview, would love a follow-up course that dives even deeper on deal killers.
Material not specific enough in terms of definitions and concepts.
Accounting is a ancient system and the right and left columns should still be the standard.
Good Course, materials supporting instruction and were well written. Test questions were easy to understand.
This was a great refresher on keeping healthy boundaries & helps identify types of boundary issues. Great class! Thanks!
Excellent speaker who is clear, concise, and gave relevant examples that supplemented the course theories.
The instructor provided very helpful information. He is very clear and easy to follow. The samples are practical.
There were a few typos. Physical year is mentioned several times, when I think fiscal year was the intended terminology,
Challenging but always a good topic to know about. Thank you!
This was very insightful on the future of the industry.
The points made in this presentation would be very helpful to any member of any organization.
Great tips for working from home and establishing practices to attain balance when WFH
Great and quick overview of the QBID. Always good to refresh on this
This is a really useful course - essential for all who regularly use excel.
Thank you for Bookkeeping: Payroll And Expenses and materials.
Great webinar. Thank you for the useful information.
Great course that walked through traits, skills, and goals of an ethical leader.
Great course on learning to be a manager. Put many behaviors and ideologies into perspective for me.
Large amount of typos. The slides appeared sloppy.
This is a good ESG overview. I removed a star because the pace was too slow for me. It's important to watch this on a PC or iPad so that you can watch at 1.5x speed.
Very good test, I am now SUPER good at ethics need more words to hit 50
I've used pivot tables for a long time and didn't realize that the calculated field and calculated item functions existed. Will be very beneficial going forward.

good, basic ethics course. meets requirements. no surprises.
Content was ok but the instructor was clearly reading off a script, so it wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other courses on Illumeo. There are also some grammatical errors in the final exam questions which made it a bit confusing.
I enjoyed this course. The content was what was advertised. The instructor had engaging presentation skills and good pacing. I learned some things I can apply in my job. The review questions and quiz questions mapped well to the course content. I also appreciated the handouts/guides the instructor included in the course.
The course provided a good overview of the AP process.
So many things to remember; will definitely incorporate this into my presentations. So very helpful
I've taken several of Lynn's courses on Illumeo. The content is good. However, the tests exhibit a pattern of unnecessary examination. For example, almost every 1 hour CPE course on Illumeo has 5 questions. This one has 10. Her questions are often wordy and contain multiple, multiple choice answers. It's more of an annoyance at the end of a usually informative session.
Some problematic statements on gender and gender norms.
Loved this course. This was better than an 8 hour in person course I completed on Negotiations.
This is a course that provides helpful knowledge for big data analytics and its potential uses in the business and accounting worlds.
I would have liked to had a worksheet for the examples.
Great couse, easy to follow and enjoyed the class.
very thorough and simple to understand what could be hard to keep straight.
This was a very informative course. high recommended A++++++
Good course! Just the right amount of content, and also challenging. Would recommend this.
It seems this course is suitable to those who already knew about the subjects discussed in this course. Otherwise, it's difficult to understand and make sense of the topics discussed in the course.
Poor grammar and punctuation in most slides, plenty of redundancy.
I learned about some really useful Excel features that I didn't know about - slicers, other forms of conditional formatting, and dynamic charts.
I learned some things about myself as a manager. Many of the statements were true to personal experiences.
A good review of accounting info I don't normally use in my work. thanks.
The slides are almost exactly being read out. I think it would be better to be more creative in creating the slides. They did not have that much value for me.
Good course! Thanks for providing this material! Im glad I sign up for it!
This course is definitely applicable in today's work environments. I have always worked from home and struggle with turning it off. I hear the dinging of messages and will sit at my computer during lunch.
Informative, gave some helpful tips to remember tricky things.
The presenter was engaging and I liked that, but I thought the material could easily have been covered in half of the amount of time.
This course gave me a new perspective on what the important parts of my one on ones with my boss should be.
I liked the way the trainer presented the topic to clarify the concepts in the easiest way.
This is a tough course. Lots of good information though and lots of examples.
I appreciated learning more about the covid pandemic and how it relates to the working world
This was a good course, I learned some important ideas for writing effectively and communicating efficiently
Really useful tips to help address common issues faced in a meeting
Instructor presented materials in a way that kept my focus. Managers as well as nonsupervisors would benefit from this course. I think these techniques can be used in every day life.
great points! Learned a way to guide companies forward towards DEI.
Good content. Video portion of presentation has background static.
This course was a bit difficult due to lack of previous knowledge and reading through the course materials instead of instructed lead. Overall, the course was very educational.
I liked the course, slides and examples provided. The questions were also were relevant and not overwhelming. Hope to see more courses by this author
I found that the instructor had a fun demeanor and provided excellent material that was not only informational but had checklists, action items that I can immediately put to use in my career.
This needs to be done again to include the XLookup formula
Really great and helpful tips on improving the efficiency & effectiveness of your month end close process. Great insight for managers
This is a very informative course for characteristics of successful people and why others do not live up to what they could have been.
I liked the course but did not like the speed of the course. This course took more than than two hours that it touted.
The professor explained the details of five stages of project management process clearly.
Really terrific instructor! Will look for more classes from him. Concise, interesting, personable!
Spot on, easier to identify these mistakes while harder to consistently avoid.
Excellent overview of the various financial statements. Thought the section on financial ratios was a great addition.
Great course - I highly recommend listening to the "This is Water" video. I found a 23 min version on you tube... wrapped this course up nicely!
good overview of the accounting close process for new accountants
this class is great for California CPA, keep us complies with AICPA
In total, it was very informative & I appreciated the detailed explanations. However I could have done without the instructors introduction of all of his background. Also the summary on how this course compares to similar courses was not needed.
I have a decent understanding of Excel but I dont use it enough to remember the various shortcuts. This course is a good refresher to help make Excel work for you and speed up your work
Great lessons! I enjoyed hearing about positive feedback loops as it applies to the entire team, and not just myself as team manager.
Very insightful and interesting course. An important topic which organizations should make a priority and provide regular training.
I like this topic and the instructor did a good job with real life examples which I appreciated.
This course was effective but also entertaining and light :)
The quiz had typos and was very confusing. It would be helpful proofread and make sure the question makes since.
loved the instructor, examples, stories, and cadence of the lecture. excellent!
Great session to attend to for newly promoted managers and seniors that are about to become managers.
I believe that it is misleading to say 1 CPE and click here for 1 CPE, only to find out that CPE is not listed.
Very interesting and useful info! I found the class easy to listen to and enjoy and feel like I really got some different perspective and new information out it.
This course was great. It talked about the various types of culture, employee behaviors, how to recognize when culture needs a change, and how to implement it. Overall, I would recommend this course!
Jennifer speaks very clearly, which makes it easier to understand. This course covered a lot of ground.
Lynn, the generational divide is an important concept to understand when hiring. This class helps me to understand the challenges in how I must lead the different members on my Team. The biggest challenge is in group meetings and in Team building. This course is very helpful. Thank you, Larry
Good presenter! Provided beneficial summary of common/preferred stock basics.
Good refresher course for the CA regulatory review
Good to understand basic concepts, like economics textbook.
Several items were repeated unnecessarily...this class could have been a little shorter.
Practical examples if added would be helpful to provide comprehensive understanding of the topic.
Great Class - but the Keys to managing an effective internal audit function video link is broken
I found the course to be very informative. I was not aware of the details from the international front.
I loved this lecture - some really great insights for how to be a better leader!
Great very technical class. I really enjoyed the class after recent events.

Great course - I've been working from home for 2 years and much of this was a review...but I needed to hear it! Thank you - great class!
This course has some great reminders, even for a seasoned manager.
Clear, well paced and enjoyable. It was a good review of key financial concepts with great story telling.
The presentation was extremely well-ordered and seamlessly moved through teaching the facts then applying with examples of each approach.
Very easy to listen to, very easy to understand. Speaker was clearly knowledgeable.
Course is to the point, recognizes the pitfalls of risk management in todays large companies and provides relevant content.
I am excited about the potential time savings that power query can bring.
This is a comprehensive course on COSO concepts and principles. It was a lot of information to digest but instructor broke it down in blocks and made easier to understand. My favorite part is the summary section at the end of each block, very helpful.
great review, useful refresher of the ASC 606, it emphasizes all the key points.
Excellent course for helping refresh what most of us learned in Intermediate Accounting. Content is good and well delivered. My only complaint is the sound quality isn't great in a couple of the modules and should be redone.
Important subject nicely explained for understanding.
The training was detailed and very helpful. It clearly explains the audit planning process, types of risk and procedures to be performed.
Lots of material covered; very helpful. Thank you!
I find it difficult to understand the lecture. it was little unclear and tough.
I enjoyed the format and thoroughness of this course.
This course is a lot of information. But it accomplishes what it sets out do.
Clear, concise very well presented. Recommend for Senior Managers.
I'm not really in the mood to write a review right now, but if I must I guess I'll say the course was good. Was that 50 characters?
There is Such good material in this course and it is a great summary for keeping as a reference guide.
Good, easy to follow suggestions, and clear steps to take
Good course for the various fraudulent schemes that are appearing everyday in the workplace
Considering this was only an hour long course, it did a great job of giving an overview of a bookkeeper. I enjoyed how it was laid out by daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly functions.
I have had 1 year or equivalent of two semesters full of Accounting courses but graduated in Computer Science instead. I have always been interested in Accounting and wanted to refresh my knowledge by taking this course. This is one of the best courses I have taken so far. Thank you
Very informative lesson that I can take back to the Finance Officer!!!!!
Good advice to avoid disastrous presentations. I wish some of the people giving presentations to me had taken the course too.
A good course and easy to understand, organizations should focus on continous improvement.
Great Course. Very Motivating. Makes you think about what kind of leader you want to be.
Very informative and helpful course with information that I'll be able to use going forward.

Good and Mandatory Ethics course. With recent changes, it's good to stay informed!!!!!!!
What I liked: This course offers a very comprehensive review of both accounting, financial analysis, and finance concepts. It gave me a good refresher on the accounting fundamentals, as well as taught me how to set up templates for financial forecasts (which is very useful). The review on debt vs equity financing is also helpful.
This was a very detailed course and a good refresher of the responsibilities and types of controls businesses should have.
good ideas . have to keep writing to get cert. not done, more writing
Loved it! It was great to learn techniques to improve yourself.
Very informative class of risks and management considerations. I highly recommend for anyone needing a refresher.

The best ethics course that I have taken. Thank you!
The course was good overall. Exam questions specific to the Apple financial statements which were not provided should be removed/changed.
Vickis courses are always so helpful and easy to follow.
Good content. Some exam questions need to be written better.
I liked this course as I found that it was very informative and a great refresher on all the many methods and ways in which fraud can occur and be prevented as well.
The tips were well thought out and seem to address the common mistakes of managers. A good resource to review periodically.
Your courses have all been so wonderful, so informational, and so thorough--in short, greatly appreciated by me! Thank you for sharing your expertise, your wealth of knowledge, your inclusion of examples! I have greatly enjoyed reading and listening to all of your lectures thus far.
effective course for entry level email writing. course could show how to avoid so many emails to start with
Useful summary of project management - good information on quantitative ways to monitor progress.
Straightforward ethics course, mostly verbatim from the Ohio Revised Code. Meets the objectives, but would have appreciated more examples.
It is a good course to gain an understanding of the Not for Profit entities. The instructor is clear and detailed.
I like the Mentor's sense of humor. He kept the "28 videos" moving fast enough to be interesting. Also, I appreciated the discussion of US and Canadian standards. Thank you, Blair! P.S. Yes, advertising DOES work.
This is an excellent refresher course that I would recommend. It is a good suggestion to keep the slide materials for future reference and is also great for recertification of the CPP. I highly recommend this course.
Quick refresher course on the fundamentals of the BS. It did discuss the IS to discuss RE. Really great for CPE but not helpful if you are looking for further knowledge. This would be great to review before watching more advanced dives into specific accounts or principals.
If you want a good refresher or overview of ASC 606, this course provides that. If you wanted answers on how COVID impacts the application of ASC 606, this course is good at identifying questions to consider but leave many questions unanswered.
This was the best ethics course I have taken. I really liked the case studies.
Good course and ideas for staying more organized and effective..
Easy to follow. Relatable content. Clear presentation.
This was a fantastic course on how to handle questions and complications that arise due to employing employees who work in multiple states throughout the year. The instructor provided a lot of great information with state specific charts, data and examples.
The course was interesting and thorough She was fun and iteresting in her presentation

Great class- one of the better ones! As someone who has a published book, I can attest to the importance of editing.
Good Info presented and time helping shortcuts. I knew most, but a couple new and all helpful
Good refresher class for payroll professionals and HR.

Great presentation with very relatable and useful information that I will be able to apply now.
Great general overview of the new standard. Very informative.
great course, it was very in-depth and interesting to listen to. the instructor clearly knows her stuff.

very well thought out with great slides to follow along with the presenter
Great introduction course! PLEASE REVIEW THE COURSE FOR THE NUMBER OF CPE CREDITS. SHOULD BE 2.5?
Good course on Xlookup formula, this will definitely be my go to formula when looking up values.
Very well structured and contained all key details needed to understand construction accounting
Enjoyable course with a lot of examples on how important it is to bring joy to the workplace.
This course provides a great overview on effective writing. I enjoyed the discussion around using more verbs and omitting needless words. I believe using these tips will help me become a more efficient writer and editor. I believe this is a topic most accountants can improve on, so I am grateful this was offered by Illumeo.
A fun short course, self explanatory about meetings and the structure.
The course was very informative and helpful. Learned a lot of new terminologies.
Though the material in this course was well thought out and presented, I found it distasteful and unpatriotic to include a former president, not just as an example of an amoral/immoral leader, but also the answer to an exam question. Keep your politics out of my professional learning materials...
Cybersecurity Program and Roles is a great course with in depth explanation and discussion.
In just two hours, this course will allow accounting and finance professionals to write significantly better. The first part of the course shines. As a professional writer, it provided a useful summary of business writing principles. Most professionals will learn new information that they can instantly apply to improve their writing. While the second part also provided critical information, it felt much less content-dense than the first part. This section only needed half the time allotted. Overall, an excellent course and a productive use of time.
This course is excellent for the beginner. The instructor does a great job explaining the basics.
Excellent overview of the topic, with engaging examples and pulse checks. Wide range of subjects covered.
Informative with respect to coverage and real life examples. More comprehensive and detailed in explanation. Instructor is very effective.

Great comparison between COSO 1992 and 2013. The instructor is very knowledgeable and shares relevant information
I liked the different ways to look at things throughout our life daily.
This course did a really nice job with individual case studies and footage of historical figures to illustrate the contrasts in leadership.
I have to admit that I gave up on watching the video within 20 minutes because of the background music...it's really annoying.
Excellent course. Really enjoyed learning about the topics presented here. Instructor was wonderful. Would certainly recommend this course to my friends, family, and colleagues.
Depending on the student's knowledge of Excel this may be a little basic. However, there are several little tricks to incorporate. This instructor performs a double presentation of the material, it is great if you are unfamiliar with what is being taught, it can be redundant if you are more knowledgeable about the subject; but as a general approach I feel it is helpful.
I didn't feel like the questions about The TV Show or "Nerds" were appropriate to the material. "Nerd" tends to be perceived as a derogatory term and doesn't feel like it fits in with the concept of Emotional Intelligence.
Barry Zalma is very dull and boring. He even seems un-interested in the lecture he is giving.
The contact is great, but the background music is distracting.
Very informative and good real life examples - enjoyed the course
the course have a lot of useful information about internal audit and how to manage it and get the most benefit from application the guidance.
Instructor covered topic in an engaging and educational manner - pulling in real world experiences and tested theories. Would recommend.
This was a great course to establish the principles of ethical leadership. I really enjoyed the real world examples included within the presentation.
No further explanation, no practical examples. The instructor was basically reading the text on the whole material.
This is a great course and should be taken and put to action by all managers/upper-mgmt. A lot of times I hear the 'vision' but don't always see it implemented or followed
Really great instructor, easy to follow even though the subject itself was a little challenging. Great examples and good slides.
A good financial leadership course that covers a lot of useful information and was based on experience that is relatable and relevant to many organizations.
Course should be labeled as text only. The only portion that is video format is the VBOA introduction.
I learned from this course about portfolio management, including asset allocation, risk and return, the efficient frontier, Sharpe ratio, Beta, et al.
This course was very thorough and hit all the most important concepts needed to evaluate the health of a business and transactions that a business may want to undertake to improve its prospects. Great presentation!
Another good course from this instructor. The instructor was clear, and offer detailed information regarding cyber security. Anyone would benefit from this course.
It's not 'physical' year, it's 'fiscal' year. FYI
I am a financial controller from a SAAS company. this course helps me get understand our industry benchmark index.
Very bad class, notes are very bad & has nothing to do with the exam
One of the presentation sections was not included, but rather a repeat presentation of the previous section.
if you ever have to explain basic accounting concepts to someone, this is an excellent example on how to do it - introduction of accounting to novices done perfectly - very clearly, methodically and encouragingly.
The session flowed quickly, and smoothly. The supporting documentation is a keeper.
Good comprehensive review of financial statement requirements.
I found this second module to be more instructive/informational than the first with more actionable information.
This course was well developed and well presented. Good coverage of the subject.
This was a good refresher course on financial statement basics.
Great review of the financial statements for CPE credit. Great professor and lesson.
What a challenging test! A lot of specific information on states. Must pay attention to details. A very overall class on multistate taxation.
Great course of audit committee effectiveness in the aftermath of 2007
Love this course! The two instructors gave a solid overview on how to act and become an executive with plenty of easy action items. The video and instructors were very engaging and I was happy to watch the video the whole time. Highly recommend!
Thank you so very much for this course . Was a little hard to follow. Slides needed more information
Easy to follow with easy task. Great explications.
One word- Interesting? This course is general motivational info, not necessarily related to COVID. There were a couple of good stories:)
Thank you, this course was great. I felt like it covered everything necessary and provided me with the tools to pass the exam at the end. Overall I would recommend this to a colleague.
Very engaging speaker. He used inflection during the course and emphasized areas as he spoke. The topic kept me entertained, focus and excited to learn more.
This is essential, especially now in the COVID world.
It was great to review and/or learn anew these important topics.
This course was like listening to a very interesting podcast. The instructor was very engaging, interesting and offered a lot of insight that was not necessarily very obvious. I took this course because I need to fulfill my CPE credits, but I would have listened to this course in my free time regardless, as I found it to be very, very well done.
Very insightful course. It will help me grow as a Manager
I felt this course had logical content. A little too conversational for my tastes, but I recognize that many learn well in this format
great course would definitely recommend. passed on 1st try please take it
Good course. Solid overview of balance sheet material. Test questions aligned with slides. Informative.
I really enjoyed this presentation, it provide a great deal of useful information for the work place.
Excellent advice and insights. I highly recommend for any finance/accounting leader.
Exam questions too many! they should be broken to three or four parts!
Excellent class with important information on knowing your audience. Class includes helpful tips when working with those in higher positions.
The course went beyond the subject of delegating skills for managers.
A very good course for both people new to blockchain and those who have a solid understanding already to help reinforce understanding
Great course to help satisfy the Ethics CPE requirement
Other illumeo presenters should take this course! Awesome!
Presentation was great. Neil was engaging and effective. I can see myself utilizing this information immediately.
Clear and concise presentation with valuable discussion points.
Overall a good course. I didn't agree with every recommendation but it was a different view point that was worth hearing. Easy to follow and the information stuck. Hope to take away a few nuggets and apply to the "difficult" people I have in my life.
I loved the realness and relevance of this speaker. Great calls and wonderful advice given.
Good basic foundation for those finding themselves in a more demanding role.
This was a great course, full of applicable tips and shortcuts!
Awesome course! I learned so much about PivotTables, Power Query, Relationships, etc. Very informative - I am looking forward to doing more courses by Mr. Wu.
Great basic course to provide a basic understanding of business combinations under topic 805. Would be better if it was not a text based course but an instructor led program.
Generally good advices and I hope the course can add more real life examples to support the theoretical system.
Really enjoy courses by ArLyne Diamond. Great content and and engaging presenter.
Very thorough and easy to understand course and instructor. The use of examples was very helpful.
I thought this course covered all of the topics of how to be a good manager. I have quite jobs in the past due strictly to poor management that had no possibility of getting better.
Non-auditors would get the most from this course since it's introductory.
I liked the comparison and contrast between traits and skills and how some qualities may overlap.
Good course, I would recommend it, simple terms and well explained. Thank you
Vicki is Excellent!!! Very well taught and explained. Love her explanations and she is very well-versed on the subject!
I wish there was a speed option to watch the videos. For example, when I listen to podcasts I listen at 1.5x or 2.0x to speed along.
The material was explained in an easy to understand way which would otherwise be difficult to comprehend for many. Very well presented.
Instructor uses great examples and makes concepts very easy to understand.
The information is spoking in the presentation but not clearly documented so found the test hard to determine
great course content, lots of information that needs to be considered, insightful and well presented.
Interesting overview of government budgeting & planning.
This was a great course that detailed best practices for budgeting, production planning, SWOT analysis, BCG Growth matrix and other great concepts!
I very much enjoyed this course. I myself can get stuck in ruts in life and this just helped motivate me to set some goals for myself and to achieve them!
amazing course, great information. A lot to learn about the planning phase of an audit
Its always fun to do this payroll calculations especially is you have a good instructor like Vicki.
This is one of the most useful courses I have ever taken. Thank you for the helpful fixes to so many of the common problems we face in managing our inboxes.
There should be a handout which can be referred to with more information that assists with the exam. This took longer than 3 hours.
This course is a comprehensive look at multi-state taxation which can be a very complicated subject. The examples provided were great. As always, the instructor is clear and knowledgeable on the topic.
The content is very good, applicable, and hits on the key things every new manager should reflect on!
Final exam questions have some types that made it hard to answer, but overall a good course!
* Content was relevant, but in some instances more attenuated to the core topic of maturing an ERM function. * Disproportionate amount of time on various examples (e.g., FCPA, tax regulation, SEC and gatekeepers, historical/contextual backdrop) and survey results versus the 3 stages themselves (approx. last 15 min.), along with practices, tools and insights.
I enjoyed this presentation, it provided a new insight on correcting small (and large) safety issues that are found in most businesses. You also receive guidance on ergonomics, proper lifting, etc., and who can't use that?
This was a good course, I was not overly familiar with the new recognition and this provided a good overview.
Good examples were given. This is somewhat a difficult concept, but the presentation made it easy to follow
Did not think the Apple questions were relevant or fair. Did not think the Apple questions were relevant or fair. Did not think the Apple questions were relevant or fair.
Great information and very useful! I learned a lot of tips in planning.
This is a great course. I recently start doing budget forecast for my company. I can see a lot of the similarity between this course and actual real life work. This course definitely help me to improve my understanding and the concept behind my work. I also like the few tricks that Blair shares at the end of the course.
Very clear explanation of complex topics, good review of basic concepts.
Good layout to introduce the concept, but would prefer more examples and visuals.
Great video and very understandable. Check on learning questions were really valuable in reinforcing information.
This course provides a good overview of the history and importance of Sarbanes Oxley. It's a good reminder of why it is important to continually evaluate processes to reduce risk exposure.
The topics in this course were presented well. This was a good overview of how Topic 606 applies to computer software companies.
Wonderful overview of COSO including all relevant changes in the 2013 version
Good content, but the speaker was hard to follow because of mispronounced words and reading style of teaching.
This is a great course for someone trying to improve their budget process.
It is pronounced FISCAL and not PHYSICAL. SUI stands for State Unemployment Insurance Tax not State Unemployment Income Tax.
Did not like the slides the font was too big and did not flow. Material was ok.
Ms Lambert is always a treat to listen to and explains everything is ways that makes sense. She really knows her stuff and it shows.
The course was great and bery thorough. I enjoyed the various cases they really added to the experience. The instructor spoke at a good pace, and was pretty engaging. Overall i would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is looking to learn more about revenue recognition.
This was both relatable and informative. Definitely worth the time.
I hate completing this section. please remove this box.
The course itself was fantastic. I would take pieces of it again as refreshers. Given the final exam is 160 questions, I would have been better suited to take the classes in two hour chunks with credit after each class. It was also incredibly frustrating to answer the same question numerous times in the final exam.
Interesting content on how to capitalize assets, slides need more details on resourses.
Excellent re-fresher course. Highly recommended for managers and payroll professionals.
The instructor presented the information well. The detail was just right, which made the presentation easy to follow.
These are good things to review, not just for new managers, but any manager.
Overall the course was very informative. I was distracted in the later sections by the microphone bumping.
There are typos in the exam; otherwise it was fine.
This course provides an excellent overview of the circumstances that lead to employee over payments as well as important information regarding deducting repayments.
Enjoyed the take away for me of the importance of a leader looking ahead to the future instead of focusing on what happened in the past.
Very good refresher! Must take it every few years. Very good coverage.
very thorough overview of the internal audit process and the guidelines by which they are governed.
great content, however had to max the volume for me to hear the speaker
This was an excellent presentation of tools that are key to efficient payroll analysis. The student should invest personal time practicing the applications but the material could not have been presented better. The overview followed by the actual application in the worksheet was extremely helpful in following along. All excel courses should be taught this way. Slides were well formatted and are usable for future reference.
eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ehe ehe he he hehehehehehe e
There were a few sections that seemed to end with the presenter not finishing the sentence.
It would have been helpful to have the slides as a handout. There was a lot of good information covered in this course and it would have been great to have the handouts for future reference.
This was great crash course in budgeting. Gene pointed out some great steps to ensure budgets are well planned and have the appropriate buy in and oversight from executive leadership. He also shared some great approaches to coaching managers when budget targets are missed.
Great course in ethics of the CFO. Employees will only be as good as their management and this course emphasizes how the CFO can set the standard.
Great job! I enjoyed the course and learning different techniques when listening.
Good organization of tips. Nice to know I already use many of these, so it's nice to know I've had good mentors. But, there are some I can add. Good presentation, easy to listen to.
Excellent content. I would encourage the instructor to speak less monotone for a 5 star rating.

The course was great introductory course to ASC 820, the instructor was very effective.
Great job! Course was very informative and easy to follow.
Good coverage of material but some of the slides were not detailed enough to follow along
Great course. Stated prerequisite requirements were appropriate and sufficient. Program materials were relevant and contributed to the achievement of the learning objectives.
The instructor made this course fun. He enthusiastically repeated items of importance. I found his style easy to follow, understand, and retain.
Interesting course, worth enrolling even though CPE credit not available!
Excellent. The speaker was like an export on the material, she did a wonderful job with the power point slides as well.
Provided great background information to why we have SOx and an overview of the SOx requirements.
very very good. cant wait to take the courses that go into more detail
This course helped me strengthen my understanding of IA fundamentals.
Ethics is a dry topic to begin with, but the presentation videos were just reading of the slide in a very slow manner. And the Test questions were very poorly written.
The course was quick and simple. It allowed you to quickly understand the required information.
Please check the answer to the last question in the final exam.
Very helpful review of SEC compliance and reporting. The instructor did a great job of making this topic interesting!

Easy to understand, time was correct, test was relevant
This was a great course. The speaker was engaging, and he presented an approach that is critically needed in today's Finance department. The course material was also very well done.
2014 means data and SEC actions are a bit out of date
The presenter is easy to listen to and has a weath of knowledge it this area. He has very good suggestions on how to avoid the make the mistakes listed.
Different type of class. Was more of a psychology class and a bit new age thinking then your standard corporate CE class.
Great introductory training for individuals looking to make the move into management/supervisory positions.
Interesting tips but unrelated in application of what they do.
This course is very practical. The instructor made the topic very relatable and provided simple, easy to implement tools for connecting. Excellent!
Love the manner in which the information is organized. One can refer back to this time and time again to keep it front of mind to increase effectiveness
needs a transcript of lectures. Test questions have no relation to final test.
This is sufficiently comprehensive and covers practical internal audit functions. Presented in a simple but reasonably sophisticated level, and quite practical.
Excellent way of presenting the course in an effective way
I learned a ton in this class. It was thorough and entertaining.
Supporting materials helped drive home discussion, relevant for CPA day-to-day dealings with Operations and Executive Management.
The course is designed well, and provides the user helpful information to improve their workflow.
Great PDF Handouts to use to reflect back on the course.
Solid examples provided during the course. I agree with one of the key concepts, which was made very clear, that a conflict interest is not necessarily a problem. Once a conflict of interest is identified, it must be evaluate before determining what remedial action should be taken (if any action is required).
David documents his points very thoroughly. His notes can be used for reference later to reinforce his teaching. I highly recommend him as an instructor.
I thought Ms.Shirley was not so exciting to tell us why is so important to learn payroll accounting well, I encouraged her to be louder in the course. I thought the test in the last session is not so relevant to payroll accounting, and I still do not what is the different between wage and salary?FICA and someother similar concepts, so next time pls tell us more knowledges about payroll accounting. Thanks for Ms. Shirley's great work.
taught about goals and measurements, understand now how to create and write goals and how to make a strategy that is attainable for achieving the goals
Great refresher and, as always, appreciate Garland's enthusiasm.
The course is great for refreshing the skills in Pivot Tables. It is very informative and detailed. The presenter discusses the topic in a step-by-step procedure making it very clear and easy to understand.
Nice looking/professional presentation and materials.
This course gave me great insight into myself and allowed me to take an objective look at my role so far as a new manager. I apparently am making most of these mistakes. But it's better to know these 1 week into my new Manager role versus 3 months in. Thank you!
Good real-life examples. Good pacing. This was a good refreshing even for myself, a manager for several years now. A good checklist to have on hand.
Excellent course lead by an effective instructor. Great content.
It was a good overview of the new lease accounting standard. Thank you.
Very insightful with some very useful sources of additional information that will come in handy.
Well spoken. Terms not too technical. Gives a good understanding to the foundation and fundamentals of Blockchain in business.
Good information. I was not impressed on the layout of the slides though. Didn't understand the horse analogy at the beginning. Some interaction is desired.
Very good class, engaging and informative. I really enjoyed this class.
I'm just learning accounting so still trying to learn the debits and credits.
Good information to know and very informative; great instructor. Slides were wonderful and informative as well.
The material was delivered in a clear manner and the slides were very informative.
Very Basic Review of google sheets but helpful if new to google sheets. Most items were similar to excel.
very good high level information for lending business details
Very cool course! Many really useful things have been explained.
good course with good examples listed throughout the course
I like the examples given in this course, which are detailed, and very realistic.
Audio makes it more easier. Text while good for a busy professionals having audio will be easier to follow
The material is useful but the instructor is monotone, which makes it difficult to stay engaged.
I thought the questions were less aligned to the information in the slide deck as they have been in other courses.
Great review for a non IT professional - especially payroll professionals. Great high level view.
Good fundamentals course. May want to have 1-2 examples of "tougher" concepts, like debt and equity.
Great tips, tricks and strategies for managing the Outlook email, task, calendar and contact tools.
Very well spoken and concise summary of the major updates
Thought this was 10 great mistakes that were walked through very well.
This is a very good introduction and summary of the new lease accounting standard, ASC 842. It does a nice job of walking through the actual transactions. However, the differences between the old and the new standard are not discussed in any detail. It would be nice to know exactly what has changed.
The content in this course is great! It has helped me personally in so many ways. Thank you for sharing!
Some the text on the slides cannot be easily read. The slide with the roadway.
This course was difficult to follow for those without a background in data analytics. It would be nice to be able to watch the instructor perform the tasks.
Comprehensive, informative and well delivered course.
It would be helpful to have screenshots or a video of the instructor working through the exercise.
Sussman is excellent. He was one of my MBA professors so I was excited to see him on this platform. If he's teaching a class, you want to take it.
After having been away from auditing for many years, this was an excellent refresher course.
The information was delivered in a clear and concise manner.
The active screens used are blurry and hard to see.
I really appreciate this course and its help in career growth and overall help in gaining knowledge in who we are, who we want to be and what our passions are.
Some good ideas for looking at conflict from different points of view.
The course makes it seem like these changes would be simple when in reality this is a very high level overview.

This was a frustrating exercise of listening to someone read regulations for 3 hours.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This was a wondeful webinar! it has provided a lot of useful techniques that im going to apply to my presentations from here on. Nathan was really enjoyable to listen as well. It was a worth the time and money. The course gave me good information to use in a upcoming high profile presentation that i am about to give.
Very insightful. I'll keep an eye out for her other content.
This course covers addressing risk based auditing approach for an internal audit team within an organization.
Good course, the presenters were engaging and informative. The course included many studies and statistic to accompany their points regarding training & development and employee engagement.
I would recommend this course for everyone. This is basic fundamental information that everyone should know.
This course was a good refresher on fraud detection.
The content is good but the format of the review/exam questions could be enhanced. Questions about the subject matter focused on the student trying to remember which sub-topic was associated with what buzz word/term in the presentation. Since this presentation seemed to be more of something I'd see in a seminar, I think a better way to test someone's understanding would be to ask questions in a scenario format, where the student's response truly tests their understanding or whether they internalized the concepts.
Course was very helpful. Quiz questions were not as aligned to Payroll accounting as they could have been.
This course was useful in understanding the basics of blockchain technology, the difference between digital currencies and blockchain, as well as some potential applications of blockchain technologies in a business setting.
Very easy to understand and course provide a great overview with lots of examples. Highly recommend!
Further definition of the difference between what is "realistic" vs. what is "attainable" would be helpful. Give examples of where a goal is one but not the other.
This is a great course, even if you are not a new manager!
Case studies are very helpful for practical application of the standard.
I highly recommend this course. It was probably my most favorite course thus far. The presenter was well-spoken and impactful. His stories also help to keep you interested and wanting more.
This course provided a helpful overview of the importance of internal controls. It also provided reminders of how vital 'hotlines' are in detecting fraud.
While I appreciated the course content, the course itself was slow paced. I would prefer faster pace.

Good discussion on recognizing revenue under the new revenue standard.
This course is extremely helpful and Blair is a great presenter. I really enjoyed this one and will use this information immediately.
Great review of preparing indirect cash flow statement.
This was a good introductory class for those of us without any XBRL experience.
great course for definitions and basic understanding of forensic accounting
This course was very helpful and will aid in our firm's development of new managers.
This course was very informative and relevant - the documentation will be helpful to use with my team
great class, easy to use, material presented well, very organized, key points listed for every subject
Very helpful and informative course. As a new manager, I'm grateful I found this course early in my role. I plan to print and post the 10 Mistakes and keep them close by at work so that I can review them periodically.
This was well detailed while providing very efficient timely lessons of the general topic.
Overall great webinar. It would be helpful to reduce the number of abbreviations in the slides though.
This course was very easy to follow and I gained greater insight on what type of leader I am.
I enjoyed this course. The instructor had real-life knowledge and examples that he drew from to teach the steps in the vendor negotiation process. This course went step-by-step through what to consider for your first negotiation.
Very nice - I like the course and the image of the flat file...as it is probably similar to what a lot of people are seeing.
What you would expect for a foundation level course. The questions proved to be a nice refresher.
Great test for practicing payroll accounting principles.
Erik should do more courses. Very clearly explained.
Thoroughly enjoyed the detailed analysis of excel functions and shortcuts. Excel is such an underutilized tool for data analytics.
Presentation was simple and clear. Easy to follow and understand. Useful for all levels of management.
The course was very interesting! Lynn did a great job explaining forensic accounting!
It seemed very general to someone with any knowledge of the yellow book. The presenter tried to make it interesting.
As a new manager this had good information on some things to initially avoid when starting out as a manager.
Very informative and organized in an easy to follow method. Enjoyed the training.
The presenter lacks tone and speaks far too slowly to remain engaged. The presenter also reads the slides, providing very little additional insight.
Great presentation ideas that everyone presenting should apply. Be sure to save the pdf of Blair Cook's lesson so you can refresh and hone your skills for your next presentation.
Very good detailed summary of all aspects of the new COSO framework.
Very useful overview of ASC606 that will hook you up. It opens the palette of impacts in several industries alerting you to dive deeper into its complexities and to follow the remainder courses on the subject.
The speed of the presenter when talking was way too fast. We were learning about presenting to non financial managers and I could not keep up with the flow of information. Way too fast and way too much.
This course is outdated, based on 2016 tax law. It is completely irrelevant in 2018/2019. It needs to be updated.
Easy to follow slides (mostly reading off slides than commentary but slide information is sufficient), thorough explanation regarding calculations, reinforces key concepts, good refresher for basic finance concepts.
Good insight in personalities and leadership. Excellent explanations of human behavior
The lecturer gives a very clear lecture. Very well organized material presented. Great exercises to understand ethics.
Very informative class on accounts payable and what they exactly do!!
Be prepared with a finance calculator fir the final exam!
Concise and easy to understand. I wish I had taken this course before starting my current position.
Interesting information. Especially liked the Custom Views discussion
Interesting and easy to follow. Taught some topics that I had doubts on.
audio was not the best and made his accent even harder to understand. he was reading a script very poorly and not presenting / chatting with the listener.
I found this course to be very well presented with clear action items that I am excited to start implementing!
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor
The answer to question 5 of the final exam is incorrect because it was not updated for the 2018 change in bonus depreciation depreciation %.
Clear explanation of the structure of the template.
The format for examples is helpful conceptually but difficult to read due to messy handwriting.
Trainer was mostly reading from slides, didn't offer multiple examples.
Good general information, but nothing specific is talked about. It's more to help you think of how you could use and set up a one pager in your own company.
instructor was just ok, not great. A bit mono-tone and not enough tangible, quality examples.
Not terribly relevant now that Excel 2016 is available.
The course is full of useful and practical information. I felt that I learned a lot from it.
There is no correct answer for question #3. Can you double check this?
Too simple. I learned this as a sophomore in college - not necessary once you are a CPA.
It was a good course. I wish it would have gone into more with subtotaling as it relates to pivot tables. Never saw the need for a custom list but it was interesting to learn. My favorite part was learning the Alt = is the shortcut for SUM.
The speaker has provided very nice explanation with examples.
Lots of helpful tips & insights. Good ideas of different ways to deal with conflicts.
Surprisingly, every manager can relate to these mistakes. It is extremely helpful to all managers out there. I have recommended this training to my colleagues and including those who aspire to become a people manager. Thank you Neil.
This came pretty easy to me, as I'm a CPA by license, but layman at heart.
This course would be beneficial for consultants that work with small companies that do not have a finance department.
Really liked discussion around the two types of leadership and the characteristics of each. Good guidance from presenter in terms of focusing on one of two qualities to improve over the next 6 months. Overall a very practical session that anyone can benefit from.
This course was very interesting and truly will impact my work performance for the better based on its detailed review of the close process.
I think it'd be more valuable for new managers to learn more tips or advice on how to avoid these mistakes and how to be better.
satisfied with course, met objectives in a timely manner. do not like that you have to write a review on the course with a minimum # of characters before you can claim your score and certificate
This is an excellent starter course to get anyone who is interested in the new revenue recognition standards, ASC 606, familiar with the new requirements. It breaks down the 5 step model and explains what is required for each step.
I wish instructor took some time to spell out some of conditions in functions he was demonstrating
Lot of new information to absorb but was very informative .
Difficult to follow instructor as mutliple screen shots are applied to each slide in the presentation
Most firms don't do M&A well. If their corporate development staff sat through this short course and took it to heart, there would be a lot less value destruction.
Very insightful and great suggestions for creating a mutually beneficial relationship between leader and subordinates.
This course provided a good overview of how to account for book-tax differences, as well as how to effectively navigate the Schedule M-1
This is the only course I have ever done on Illumeo that does not have a continuous playback option. The lack of this option combined with the bifurcation of the slides and the examples into a separate documents makes this course harder to follow that most other courses.
Good overview of models and high level theories, but would have liked to see some of the examples actually done in Excel or another tool.
Good job logically laying this out. The use of video to demonstrate the technique was excellent. The instructor would be easier to listen to if he didn't end every sentance with "right?"
The course was easy to follow and understand. The presenter's summary was useful when taking the exit exam.
Very good advice for a new manager, easy to follow course content
The instructor gives me much to think about. There is so much in here that I think many aren't willing to say even though we know it to be true. There are many politics involved in the workplace. It is unfortunate, but reality, and he helps you to work through this unfortunate reality.
I love how you used very clear and specific examples! Thank you Leslie!
If I could have given 6 stars, it mightn't have been enough. He provided a very practical roadway to finance excellence. Great enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenter.
I thought he was on target with his observations. He kept pretty much to the slides so they were a helpful resource.
Course materials would be more effective with powerpoint slides. Course duration could be shortened to 1 hour.
nothing to add good course on financial information that is useful in conversation
Very articulate, concise and insightful! I would recommend for anyone looking to improve their public presence.
I enjoyed the course. It helped me understand how to resolve workplace conflicts, and what to look for.
Good overview of the process from beginning to end with sound advice along the way. Thank you.
A useful and technical course topic which was presented in a clear and concise manner.
This is a great course in terms of the material but everything felt rushed.
Great class, wish you would slow down on showing where some of the functions live.
The training was well organized and was probably the best Ethics course i have taken.
Excellent instructor. Entertaining and very informative. Increase in understanding of sumifs.
I agree with the other reviewers that the exam focused too much on the actual result of a calculation of present value and not on the actual topic of lease accounting.
The instructor explains the concepts with relevant examples which makes it easy to understand and apply. The course is well structured and detailed to provide step by step procedure for creating RBIA approach.
Harder to understand than i thought with my pivot experience.
Good course for insomniacs. Presenter was boring.

A bit hard to follow in some places but overall, another very good presentation
I loved this course. I didn't realize how to use the SUMIFS function and I will definitely use it now. I need to practice right away before I forget how to use it!
interesting ideas
I appreciated the statement that it could take 2 years to get comfortable being a new manager. It lays out a good timeframe to try and attain the good manager status and I don't stumble right out of the gate trying to be everything at once.
I like that these are actually recorded webinars and not just reading material.
Excellent review of contract basics. Loved it!!
Excellent course with great examples throughout. I especially liked the banana conversation. I'll definitely be checking out more of Michael's courses.
Really great structure of what can sometimes become an emotionally charged conflict.

Excellent course for finance professionals.
This was very informative. I have been having a hard time as the interviewer what are the expectations from the other side.

Great course. Would recommend to others.
By repeating all the exercises and formulas, it is now easier to remember the formulas. Practical summary of how to remember the formula versus the "code" is helpful. Clear and concise.

I like that the course is detailed and the slides are available in pdf
I liked that the 10 mistakes are common to most new managers and they can be avoided, if these recommendations for success are implemented.
A continuous play option for the video is ideal.
Good information. Would like to have more detail on slides so that can use later when setting up spreadsheets.
pretty good course, a little dry for my taste
Really helps me a lot in building my personality in social networking sites.
liked the convenience; it was good information
Examples shared were very helpful
Nice
It would be helpful if there were review slides.
very good,supplements were very hepful
Easy to follow
The training made me understand more of the client situation and effective ways to communicate with the customers. To address their disputes/queries efficiently.
I liked that he gave specific rules and guidelines to making a PowerPoint. I think there is more I could learn in this department. The best tool I will take away from this webinar is the 8H Rule.
Nice course
The class delivery was efficient and effective.
I liked the course it was very informative.
Good coverage of all possibilities.
I highly recommend newly promoted managers who don't have a lot of leadership experience to take this course.
i like this format, i am able to stop, execute the steps or review the material over again. Thanks for putting this together. If you add a document with relevant links that might be a good add.

Great slides and easy to follow. Highly Recommend!
I would like to know what I got right and wrong on the exam.
I worked as an accounting professor for a few years and had a similar style to teaching. It is extremely effective. Nice review sir.

There were great reminders and refreshers in this course. I have taken a similar course that was an all day and I learned just as much here.
This course covered some seemingly basic concepts that are huge time savers if you are unaware of them.
Good course!
I appreciated that the course talked about CPAs in business not just in public accounting.
deilvery quality needs to be improved
Great information and well presented. Personally gained a gret amount of information for future use in reporting.
Very informative
Very basic if you're a CPA.
I really enjoyed course. I would like to be able to see the correct answer for exam questions wrong.
Good snippets for those moving/aspiring to move on from an individual contributor to a manager role.
I liked that I learned something
Good course but needs to be updated for 2015-2016 changes.
I like the course as it fits the non IT auditors. The presenter needs to be more interactive.

The presentation is very helpful.
Great and insightful course!
I was surprised at how challenging this course was.
Excellent course
Well done. Easy to understand.
Too much time spent discussing the presenter's qualifications
interesting insight
Barry needs more energy. What he says is really interesting. But his monotone presentation even had him yawning (I actually heard him yawn twice). The exam (CPE for me) was unpleasant as well. Maybe that was the intent.
Provided a number of ideas that can be quickly and easily implemented.
good reminders and tips for macros
Test questions were not captured in the presentation materials.
Excellent overview about risks and things to look into.
Great course!
Did not like questions about Apple. Numbers not in front of me.
A bit dry but did have some useful material.
I really enjoyed this course and learned a lot of new Excel tips! The excel worksheets were good to do along with the video. The quiz and final exam were not really related to the course material, but the questions weren't that difficult if you know how Excel works. I really enjoyed this course, and I have already implemented these tips into my daily work.

I believe the exam answers are not correct and should be reviewed.
The course is great, however, the video sometimes disconnect in the middle and have to wait and drag to make it work
Very basic information. Good information for non-accountants
The course was excellent. It met my expectations.
Great information for someone looking to help their company develop an investment policy and manage the investment process.
Ask the instructor a question about this lesson
