This course will help participants determine the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it relates to their organization and personal responsibilities. Organizations doing business in Europe are already required to comply and similar legislation has begun to emerge within the US. As such, organizations need to understand the requirements of GDPR and the corresponding compliance efforts.
We will explore GDPR requirements and the corresponding processes your organization should implement to comply. It is critical for organizations to be aware of the data subjects’ rights, the data processor’s responsibilities and methodologies for compliance. GDPR is relevant corporations, educators, health care providers, technological developers and others handling personal data.
