The course was very informative and interesting. The skills to be involved with the Internal Audit function are both technical and interpersonal. As we work towards this function, it is difficult to find staff with the right skill set. The instructor was very good and understandable.

Very thorough review of origins of internal controls and applicable uses. While there is a tremendous amount of information, it is well summarized and most important topics are reviewed more than once via examples and specific reference. Found the history very interesting as fraud in the 1980's and 90's was very prominent in national news.

Definitely a ton of "a ha" kind of moments and very helpful for those of us at the middle management level who would like to try to convince the Executive level that moving even at least to data mining would be helpful. The slides displayed for this ppt did not really align with the script the speaker was following. She referenced a significant amount of material she did not share on the slides. In addition, she mentioned balancing T accounts, but never showed, how here entries balanced - expected her audience to assume or add in their head. And seemed to be more a basis 101 on accounting with very little on payroll.

The course is really geared towards IT personnel as it was hard to keep up with all the different types of attacks unless you're familiar with all the IT language. Definitely not easy for us that are not IT personnel.

The course provides great case examples of principle financial statements analysis and the purpose for the various ratios.

Having 3 different people jumping back and forth caused a lot of confusion and the material seemed to have gaps. Specifically betwen slide 22 & 23. At the beginning of slide 23 she says thank you for all of that insight....what insight? I didn't hear any insight from slide 22 as it seemed they skipped over half of that slide. The presentation was very choppy. I ended up stopping the presentation and just thumbing through the slides to get a passing exam. There are other really great courses on AI within Illumeo to explore

Course could use some updating and more information about what ITGCs are and how all ITGCs are applied. NIST is not the only framework appropriate for ITGCs. Organizations may be more business focused and not security focused and prefer using a more focused framework than NIST. COBIT comes to mind but it does not cover all requirements and at times is hard to understand. I would not say NIST is easy to understand. ITGCs are spread out across a number of the 23 topics and need to be linked back to specific ITGC objectives for a control/process owner to see the his entire domain within one picture.

Material was fine. Since the course is a bit long and staff may need to take it in sections, I would just suggest mini quiz (just a couple of questions after each couple of section). I did take the review questions up front to gauge where I needed to focus the most in the training. Most people in our company do not have auditing, or sox in their toolkit.

The audio was very low in this course, it was hard to hear. I appreciated the negotiations portion of this course, it was very insightful.

If you want a good refresher or overview of ASC 606, this course provides that. If you wanted answers on how COVID impacts the application of ASC 606, this course is good at identifying questions to consider but leave many questions unanswered.

Excellent course, particularly meaningful in a virtual work environment as supervisors navigate remote employee relationships and 1:1 meetings by necessity take place more frequently. Good strategy around structuring these meetings. I especially liked the idea of the direct report having responsibility for the meeting agenda. Course is well worth it.
