In every organization there are bright and talented people who never speak up in meetings. Are they shy? Intimidated? Or are they behaving as dictated by the culture in which they were raised or the culture of the company?
This course examines situations, settings, management styles, and other factors affecting comfort with communication. It offers suggestions for making it easier for the “passive person” to speak up.

- Explore several reasons why an employee might be passive
- Identify their own style – and think about modifying it
- Recognize various management styles and how they affect communication
- Identify settings that might be intimidating
