Of the many, many courses I have taken on the Illumeo platform, this was definitely one of the best and most insightful. I have always found elements of "behavioral finance" to be fascinating and powerful in planning, strategy, and business performance. Mr. Stephens has bundled the leading theories and presented them as a unified new "dimension" for planners and leaders to factor in. He has done so in a manner that CFO's and other business leaders will undoubtedly find easy to digest, replete with useful examples. The consideration of these concepts will undoubtedly add value via improvement decision-making and more enlightened risk assessments. Instructor is very knowledgeable, some of the terms are more difficult for a beginner.

I am a CPA that works in a publicly traded company and most of the ethics courses are firm based. I like the perspective on this course being non-firm.

I will comment on one aspect of the course in particular. The presenter recommended criminal background checks as a method to prevent fraud. He fails to address the issue that biases in the criminal justice system against racial minorities result in such checks having a disparate impact on those same minorities. He also does not address the fact that such checks will turn up information that is prejudicial but of questionable relevance for preventing fraud (for example, minor drug convictions or other minor violations of the law), which in turn will make it difficult for people with those convictions to move on from their pasts. Other than that, the course was good.

Very thought provoking course with insightful observations

This course had very good examples and case studies. Overall good overview and thought provoking.

The course author used creative approach to teach the strenghts and weaknesses of the two excel tools.

The exam is very challenging if you don't have a decent understanding of Tax for partnerships....

Good, pragmatic tips for customer communication.

Materials need some improvement. They are just bullet points without any context. That's good for normal presentations, but won't be useful if trying to use as a guide later on when the information is not fresh in our minds.

This course teaches you to how to think about thinking. Excellent how the presenter (who is excellent) explained the concepts using not just general but accountant specific problems.

Interesting and informative course with relevant information to understand the controllership function. Easy to follow and understand.

Slides should be prepared in advance, no slide materials to retain and or review, and the exam questions were very poorly worded relative to answer choices.

Broad ranging look at ethics, morality, and laws. There is enough time in the lecture to cover definitions, the difference between the concepts, a brief discussion of Jonathan Haidt's theories and the Milgram Experiment, and the personal aspect of dealing with conflicts.

Good overview of a complicated topic. Most importantly helps you understand what to look for and where to look when an employee works in more than one state.

Methodical view on all the aspects of company culture and the dynamics between teams. Did not love the lack of visuals

This is a helpful course for someone who is new to finance leadership role, who has not previously been exposed to cross-functional engagement or project, or who has not previously working with C-suite level executives.

I appreciate some of the functions that have been used in the past or can be used by combining functions to an extent that it helps understanding the new functions. But in this presentation there seemed to be so much of it became confusing or a bit of information overload.

Loved this course. This was better than an 8 hour in person course I completed on Negotiations.

Tina did a great job demonstrating the visualization in Tableau. The examples are relevant for CPAs. Highly recommended to Tableau beginners.

I thought the test in the last session is not so relevant to payroll accounting, and I still do not what is the different between wage and salary?FICA and someother similar concepts, so next time pls tell us more knowledges about payroll accounting.Thanks for Ms. Shirley's great work.

The course is great for refreshing the skills in Pivot Tables. It is very informative and detailed. The presenter discusses the topic in a step-by-step procedure making it very clear and easy to understand.

Exactly what I needed, added many of the missing pieces for me. I like the format, showing what to do then, doing it. My only gripe is that the exam has questions on charts when no charts were in the course material.

It was a good course. I wish it would have gone into more with subtotaling as it relates to pivot tables. Never saw the need for a custom list but it was interesting to learn. My favorite part was learning the Alt = is the shortcut for SUM.
