Course instructor provided detailed information about the No PO No Pay policy. It was a good reminder if the process and the benefits derived from it.

User Image
marcy.freeman

This was a very interesting and relevant course. Internal Audit funcitons often face navigating the pull from management to engage in fraud investigations and that must be balanced with other Internal Audit activities, with the support of the Audit Committee.

User Image
sabrina.kloehn

A more engaging way to meet the ethics requirement though this course includes instructors perspectives and opinions which I am not accustomed to seeing in CPE.

User Image
josephstelman@salo-compass.com

This was a very thorough yet straightforward introduction to higher-level Excel concepts. The course will only give a basic understanding of using tools like Power Query and VBA Macros, so further courses should be explored to gain more proficiency in these areas.

Definitely a ton of "a ha" kind of moments and very helpful for those of us at the middle management level who would like to try to convince the Executive level that moving even at least to data mining would be helpful. Also, really appreciated the presenter's use of helpful visuals as well.

User Image

I always enjoy Neil's classes and how he teaches. His storytelling always makes the class fun and engaging. I love how simple the concepts always seem when he breaks things down. Difficult people are tough to deal with and work with, but, we always have the choice to deal with it and control ourselves, or, we let ourselves get affected by the negative emotion. But, the choice is ours.

User Image

One of the best speakers I've heard here on Illumeo. Clear, concise, obviously knows the information like the back of his hand - that makes it easier to listen to as an audience member. Depending on the student's knowledge of Excel this may be a little basic. However, there are several little tricks to incorporate. This instructor performs a double presentation of the material, it is great if you are unfamiliar with what is being taught, it can be redundant if you are more knowledgeable about the subject; but as a general approach I feel it is helpful.

User Image

The content is good but the format of the review/exam questions could be enhanced. Questions about the subject matter focused on the student trying to remember which sub-topic was associated with what buzz word/term in the presentation. Since this presentation seemed to be more of something I'd see in a seminar, I think a better way to test someone's understanding would be to ask questions in a scenario format, where the student's response truly tests their understanding or whether they internalized the concepts.

User Image
wendy.vicks

This course covered various leadership style, with pros and cons for adopting/applying each style. However, adding to the slides the pictures of leaders ( who may or may not have demonstrated certain leadership style) was a distraction and minimized the course effectiveness. For example, was Princess Diana an inspiration leader? Perhaps not! Was Dr. King a non-authoritarian leader? Absolutely not!!! This course is about organizational leadership. Therefore, perhaps the author should use corporate leaders (past and present) and specific corporate examples to depict each leadership type AND to make the course stronger.

Too many slides in the deck. Some of the color background slides do not have the proper contrast and are high to read. Course should be more than 1 CPE based on the amount of material.

It would be better if the items were shown in motion (vs. the slide with numbers). Also the sound quality was a bit poor.

Course was good. But sometime it stops in the middle and I have to restart my computer. May be IT issue.

Every company out there should make the effort to do a Fraud Assessment as it is not a matter of IF Fraud will happen at your company - but when (or has it already happened?). Lynn provided a great background on what companies should do to get the ball rolling.

User Image
chantell.haines

Great content and the slides were put together well. I would just suggest that the speaker speak faster. There were way to many long pauses and I feel like a lot more information could have been fit into the 1 hour.
