(38 rating)A more engaging way to meet the ethics requirement though this course includes instructors perspectives and opinions which I am not accustomed to seeing in CPE.
Subject matter is very detail oriented. Instructor is reading her script, therefore it lacks engagement.
Exactly as advertised, an introduction to NFP accouinting. As a new board member of an NFP, I found this very helpful. Thank you.
Of the many, many courses I have taken on the Illumeo platform, this was definitely one of the best and most insightful. I have always found elements of "behavioral finance" to be fascinating and powerful in planning, strategy, and business performance. Mr. Stephens has bundled the leading theories and presented them as a unified new "dimension" for planners and leaders to factor in. He has done so in a manner that CFO's and other business leaders will undoubtedly find easy to digest, replete with useful examples. The consideration of these concepts will undoubtedly add value via improvement decision-making and more enlightened risk assessments. Thank you for such a quality contribution to the Illumeo portfolio!!
Great information about useful tools. Didn't know there were so many plugins available
Virginia ethics course, it's required for CPAs and this format works
Mr. Ringstrom is an excellent instructor; I like that he goes through the PowerPoint and then shows it live in Excel. I will be back for more courses.
This course had very good examples and case studies. Overall good overview and thought provoking.
Another great course from David Ringstrom. I always learn a lot from his excel courses. I am glad to have learned about the xlookup function. I think it is something I will be using a lot.
The course covers a significant amount of material that is often uncommon such as disposal of divisions and going concern treatments. It's well done and interesting.
I especially appreciated the David Foster Wallace commencement speech at the end.
It would have been better to attach the latest version of CR&R as reference material (vs slides).
This is a very good broad ranged discussion of the accounts payable vendor master processes and what should be considered.
Course was relevant and a good road map to live all aspects of your life.
Efficient and effective course. Covers what is needed.
Easy to follow course. Lots of information to take in. Good for the tenant side of commercial leases.
Very good lease terminology course. Wish there were a couple more definitions covered (ex. Estoppel) but course is very effective for beginners.
Learning which version has certain features is not useful.
This was a great class that gave me some important tips that I hadnt previously considered. Very useful!
Exam includes questions not covered in the slides. Lack of examples in the slides and poorly written bullet points in the slides.
Great and quick overview of the QBID. Always good to refresh on this
Presenter was a subject matter expert. I viewed it as more of an intermediate or advanced course. Was helpful but need to spend more time absorbing some of the concepts
This course was easy to participate in and learn. I like the breakdown of segments and course documents that went along with it.
Great course to get a basic understanding of terminology used in commercial leases.
Excellent overview of the various financial statements. Thought the section on financial ratios was a great addition.
Solid program with a good template / model to utilize.
Terms were helpful to reference and calculators to reference at another time.
Considering this was only an hour long course, it did a great job of giving an overview of a bookkeeper. I enjoyed how it was laid out by daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly functions.
Great class- one of the better ones! As someone who has a published book, I can attest to the importance of editing.
A very good course for providing best practices on how to run a presentation along with the actual research to back them.
The instructor was very thorough on explaining xlookup and its functionality. Furthermore, he provided detailed examples on how to overcome the constraints of vlookup, hlookup, xlookup and other formulas.
It would be beneficial to release the wrong answers for the final exam.
This was both relatable and informative. Definitely worth the time.
Good written material and fair questions on the exam.
Very insightful. I'll keep an eye out for her other content.
Really helpful to see the side-by-side presentation with Formula based reports vs Pivot table reports
maybe a few more examples to test knowledge during the sessions...maybe some on the edge (administrative assistance who also does paralegal duties?)...
Very nice - I like the course and the image of the flat file...as it is probably similar to what a lot of people are seeing.
Course content was good and the materials provided were helpful.
great overview. educational Bruce obviously speaks from experience.
This course is outdated, based on 2016 tax law. It is completely irrelevant in 2018/2019. It needs to be updated.
Good insight in personalities and leadership. Excellent explanations of human behavior
Lynn's slides were well designed and effective. She knows this topic well.
Too simple. I learned this as a sophomore in college - not necessary once you are a CPA.
This course would be beneficial for consultants that work with small companies that do not have a finance department.
satisfied with course, met objectives in a timely manner. do not like that you have to write a review on the course with a minimum # of characters before you can claim your score and certificate
good general information
Very informative introductory course.
I learned new elements of dashboard reporting.
Do not want to go into upper management.
A continuous play option for the video is ideal.
Very useful.
good review material
Great information and well presented. Personally gained a gret amount of information for future use in reporting.
Good snippets for those moving/aspiring to move on from an individual contributor to a manager role.
Too much time spent discussing the presenter's qualifications
Nice finance refresher since college. Very informative.
excellent refresher
Good material but monotone delivery makes it difficult to focus.
Great material. Too fast to follow at times.
Very clear and precise explanations of terms and I appreciated the negotiation tips. Would be helpful to include more of those.
A common sense reminder.
l like learn about this course and subject We will follow full courses for an intense love thank you very much
lecturer was quite boring...
The course was excellent. It met my expectations.
The class made me think about the difference between Managing, Coaching and Mentoring. Very good information.
Overall, the course was good for those a limited accounting background. However, the instructor tends to focus on the perspective of an Equity Analyst as opposed to an internal financial analyst or outside creditor.
