This course demonstrates how to conduct an overarching analysis of a simple sales data set. Topics include joining and recombining data sets, summarizing data in tables, creating data visualizations, and extracting descriptive statistics from Tableau.
We begin by uploading a basic sales data set. We show you how to summarize it in tables and create basic visualizations like bar and line graphs. We then join a second data set of customer names to the first data set, and go into more detailed analysis. This includes creating map charts and using Tableau capabilities to uncover descriptive statistics. Finally, we combine the various analytical images in a Tableau dashboard, which provides a full summary of the example data set.
